Why I’m Running
“I’m running for Sheriff because Polk County needs steady, experienced leadership it can trust. I’ve spent nearly 30 years in law enforcement and currently serve as Polk County’s Chief Deputy. I know every aspect of this office, from patrol and corrections to communications, administration, and emergency management, and I understand what it takes to lead it responsibly and effectively.
This campaign isn’t about a title or personal ambition. It’s about responsibility to the people who depend on this department and to the men and women who show up every day to do the work. Leadership means making sound decisions, standing behind your deputies, jail staff, and dispatchers, and being accountable to the public.
I’m not running to chase attention or make noise. I’m running to do the job right, consistently, fairly, and with integrity, so the Polk County Sheriff’s Office stays focused on what matters most: keeping our communities safe.”
